You will be creating a web-based multimedia presentation on the family using the Web 2.0 application Voicethread. You may choose to describe your own family or a famous/make-believe family. You will find and upload digital pictures in JPEG format to your FLICKR account for storage. Or, if you have a USB flash drive, you can bring all pictures in on this to upload to the computer. The first picture should include everyone. You may then choose 4-5 more individual picture to describe in detail. One may include a family pet. (This means if you come from a large family, you cannot describe everyone in your family in detail.) When describing family members, be sure to say what role each person plays in the family. Also include their name, age, hair and eye color, do they wear glasses or contacts, physical and personality traits, and things they like to do. You also want to mention what chores everyone does at home and how often. To begin, we will set up a new account at VOICETHREAD. Once you set up your Voicethread account and create your presentation, name it La Familia de _________ (put only your English first name). No last names please! We will be recording our presentations at school but you can work from any computer, here or home, to begin uploading your pictures. http://voicethread.com/#home
